SONCAP Certificate for Export to Nigeria

This program was introduced by the Federal Government of Nigeria to address the concern of unsafe products entering the country and to protect the health and safety of Nigerian consumers. In order to clear their goods in Nigeria, importers are required to have the following documents for every consignment of regulated products:

Product Certificate (PC), either unregistered, registered or licensed

SONCAP Certificate (SC)

Accredited inspection and certification body, can accompany exporters and importers throughout this conformity assessment process and assist them in obtaining the necessary Product Certificate and SONCAP Certificate.

The physical inspection, sampling and testing of goods in fully ISO 17025 accredited laboratories. Factory audits may also be carried out to ensure production is compliant with Nigerian standards.

To assess the conformity of a shipment, the Verification of Conformity process will follow one of the three levels of compliance, named “routes”. The choice of the route depends on the profile of the exporter. These are:

Route A for exporters with infrequent shipments (unregistered & unlicensed products)

Route B for exporters with regular shipments (registered products)

Route C for manufacturers with regular and high volume shipments (licensed products)

Route A，针对一年偶尔出货的情况(工厂没有ISO9001质量体系证书)

　　出口商货物生产好以后，由由检验员对货物进行检验，然后从大货中抽取样品测试，测试合格后，出具PR报告，出货前进行监装并贴封条，合格后出具CoC证书。

　　需要提交的文件如下：

　　1）CoC申请表
　　2）产品名称，产品照片，海关编码；
　　3）箱单
　　4）形式发票
　　5）FORMM号码
　　Route B, 针对产品一年中多次出货情况。（工厂有ISO9001质量体系证书）
　　首先由出口商申请PC，申请PC的流程如下：
　　1）PC申请表；
　　2）产品名称，产品照片，海关编码；
　　3）由具有ISO 17025资质实验室出具的合格检测报告；
　　4）对工厂进行体系审核
　　PC拿到后有效期为一年。
　　工厂在货物生产好以后，申请CoC流程如下：
　　1）CoC申请表；
　　2）箱单；
　　3）形式发票；
　　4）FORMM号码
　　资料齐全以后对货物进行一定比率的检验、抽样测试及监装，比率不低于40%，合格出具CoC证书。
